Calvary Chapel is a body of believers gathering together under the lordship
of Jesus Christ to worship Him, be taught by His Word, and grow in our love
for one another.
- We come to be taught by His Word - because it is a lamp unto our feet and a
light unto our path, leading us to a knowledge of Him. We therefore emphasize the
teaching of the Word. - We come to worship Him - because He is worthy to receive glory, honor, and
power and has created all things. We therefore emphasize songs of worship and
praise. - We come to grow in our love - because it is a commandment that we love one
another, and by this the world will know that we are His disciples. We therefore
emphasize the unity and fellowship of the body of Christ.
